Introduction

Maithuna is the tantric term for sexual union, tantric lovemaking in the ‘Now’. Making love from your feelings, you experience an intense, timeless, loving, intuitive, ‘ecstatic FLOW’. Possibly in the future you may even experience a transcendent experience, but is not a goal in itself.

In the tantric world, both partners are equal where through tantric lovemaking you merge into each other’s energy.

Within the Maithuna there are rituals and asanas (postures / entanglements) which are mentioned in books on tantra. How to perform the rituals and postures and let energy flow is nowhere described. With this online course Tantric Freedom we want to unlock this well kept secret and let you enjoy.

Namaste, Tantric for Life

With special thanks to the teachers who wanted to share the knowledge.

Lesson 1. Basic priciples and terms

Before you and your partner can start with the Maithuna, it is important that you will go through all the steps. You need insights and assumptions to avoid disappointments.

Prior knowledge

Tantric lovemaking consists out of entanglements and enjoying each other’s sexual energy. Fusing together in the universe, in the ‘Here and Now’. It sounds beautiful, maybe for some of you up in the clouds, but it is possible. It takes practice, patience, and especially a good preparation. We will tell you everything you need without going deep into the ‘spiritual’, ‘technical’, or ‘mystical’ background. Due to this type of description you don’t need any kind of prior knowledge.

Maithuna rituals

Maithuna rituals include all preparing steps, the execution of the asanas up to and including which type of lighting should be used.

Kundalini

Kundalini is another word for life energy (sexual energy), which is present in everyone. This energy can flow intensely when experiencing a tantric massage. In this book we do not expect you to master the tantra massage technique. Letting the Kundalini flow is important in the Maithuna. You will induce this flow of energy during the preparing exercise.

Asanas

With asanas we describe positions in Maithuna.

Chakras

Every human being has 7 main chakras, these are energy nodes. During the asanas (positions) energy exchange takes place through the chakras. You can see a chakra as an energetic, spiral-shaped, rotating ‘wheel’. The direction of rotation of chakras of men and women is different.

Lighting

With lighting is referred to a free sensation in a moment beyond space and time. In Maithuna it is not the goal in itself to achieve this. It might be that one or both achieve this during a Maithuna. The Maithuna helps you to come very close together. You can describe it as intense intimacy.

Go into surrender

Going into surrender is trying to stop thinking. You change into a mode of experiencing. This is not easy for everyone. Presence of disturbing matters can make it also more difficult. Where possible we try to describe how you can go into surrender. Having confidence in your partner is very important.

Shakti

The term Shakti in Tantra refers to the woman.

Shiva

The term Shiva refers to the man. In the description of the asanas we will mainly talk about Shiva and Shakti.

Yoni

In the world of Tantra with the term Yoni is referred to the vagina. In the beginning of the book we will translate Yoni, but when moving further in the book we will only talk about Yoni. This also applies to the term Lingam. In lesson 3 you will find information about strengthening the Yoni muscles.

Lingam

Lingam in Tantra refers to the penis.

Guda

Both Shakti and Shiva have a Guda (anus in Sanskrit).

Tantra of the right hand

Tantra of the right hand refers to self-gratification.

Tantra of the left hand

Tantra of the left hand is the opposite of the right hand. In this way you experience together with your partner the highlights in contrast to the self-gratification of the right hand.

PC-muscle

You feel your PC-muscle (pubococcygeus) when you tighten your buttocks. Women know this muscle as the pelvic floor muscle. Imagine you have to pee, but you want to stop it, in this moment you feel the same muscle. The PC-muscle has several functions, which we will describe extensively.

Both women and men have these muscles. So Shakti and Shiva can train the PC-muscle. Both for a different cause.

The muscle becomes stronger when you regularly squeeze and relax it. You learn how to keep the PC-muscle better under control in times when it is important.

Initiative

In tantric love making Shakti takes the initiative. She makes the movements and Shiva provides support. The entire being together is in a respectful and loving way. Shiva has to learn to ‘do’ nothing, accept, and ‘let it happen’.

Each woman can bump and make circular movements with her hips. Pulsing and Pompoir requires control over the Yoni muscles. You can find the detailed explanation in lesson 3.

With each asana we will write if, except for the circular movements, also bumping, pulsing or Pompoir is possible.

Circular movements

With her hips Shakti makes circular movements after the Lingam has entered her Yoni. Shakti feels with her Yoni how much pressure she puts and she determines the frequency of the circular movements.

Bumping

Shakti makes during several asanas bumping movements. This is the counterpart of the traditional penetration by Shiva. At the asanas it is written when this is possible.

Pulsing

Pulsing is an encompassing movement of the Yoni-muscles of Shakti of the Lingam. It requires practice with a Yoni-trainer to be able to do this regularly. It is important that Shakti first learns how the pulsate in a good way, before starting the Pompoir technique.

Pompoir

With Pompoir we mean the rhythmic movements that Shakti makes with her Yoni-muscles, inducing the milking effect. The Pompoir technique will Shakti learn with her Yoni trainer in lesson 3.

Intention

The intention with which you experience as partners Maithuna can only be beneficial if you have the right spirit. It is important that on beforehand clearly is communicated that only that can happen what both partners enjoy.

Realize that the motto of Tantra is ‘Everything is allowed and nothing has to be done’. If you apply this lovingly, the Maithuna is the most intimate being together.

Valley orgasm

The valley orgasm……… the counterpart of the peak orgasm. Remaining in an orgasmic state so the Kundalini stays within the body.

Trust

To be able to surrender fully, it is important that you can trust your partner a 100%.

No penetration

Classic penetration by the man does not exist in Maithuna. It is Shakti that guides the Lingam into her Yoni. It is Shakti who bumps, pulsates, and applies the Pompoir technique. In the Maithuna there are few asanas where Shiva is on top of Shakti. Only when Shakti indicates it, Shiva ‘may’ bump.

Painless

In whatever position you are in the Maithuna, it should NEVER hurt! Shakti knows what she feels…

Stop word or stop sign

To prevent misunderstandings and increase the trust, you can agree on a stop word or stop sign. In this way your partner knows when you don’t like something. You can count on it that your partner will respect your wish. For Shiva this is also the ‘emergency brake’ to prevent ejaculation.

Visualization

In the Western world visualization is something that might be experienced as ‘up in the clouds’. In the Maithuna it is of great importance to apply this. The description is as much as possible without eastern rituals. We have described it most minimal for you.

Lesson 2. PREPARATION SPACE and Personal

A good preparation improves the joy. In this way you don’t have to think about the details during the Maithuna.

Space

It is important that the space is warm and comfortable. It is most important that in the room no disturbing noises can be heard from the surrounding environment. A temperature between 23 °C (73 °F) and 27 °C (80 °F) is needed, because cold disturbs the experience. We advise you to energetically clean the room in advance. This can be done in different ways, e.g. with incense, but for some this scent is too strong. We use an energetic atomizer with a pleasant herbal scent.

Illumination

The light intensity determines the atmosphere. Dimmed light is ideal. Ideally no light from outside penetrates the room. If you want to experience the experience in the ‘Here and Now’, then a perception of time by light is not desirable.

Surface

The surface on which you sit and lie down shouldn’t be too soft. During the Maithuna this would be exhausting and bad for your back. When you are going to the entanglements, a solid surface is nice. A Thai massage mat is not a luxury, because of the comfort.

Contact

After the meditation until the end of the Maithuna there is physical contact between the two partners. At a minimum, this can be only a touch which one finger during the transition from one asana to another asana.

Pillows

In order to be able to sustain the entanglements for a long time, pillows are pleasant as a support. There is a special pillow on which Shakti can sit down (Maithuna pillow). This will make the entering of the Lingam into the Yoni easier for Shakti.

Scent

A pleasant or neutral scent in your Maithuna room is desirable. This also counts for the use of perfume and deodorant. Use only scents of which you are sure that your partner likes them. Brushing the teeth is an important element. An unpleasant mouth smell is not only disturbing for the partner, but also gives an unhygienic impression. Wrong or unpleasant scents disrupt unconsciously that your partner can reach a state of surrender. Are you unsure about certain scents? Then ask your partner.

Nails

It is important that you don’t have brackets on your nails. If your partner is in a moment of surrender, pain can completely disrupt the pleasant being together of you and your partner. The toenails mustn’t be forgotten too. During the transition from one asana to another, sometimes the feet touch the body of your partner. You don’t want to hurt each other, so cutting toenails and if possible filing is recommended.

Drinking

It is most practical to stop drinking 2 hours before the Maithuna. A break to pee will disrupt the being together, because you both will be out of the flow. When you both are more experienced, drinking in between is not such a big problem. During the Maithuna you both will probably sweat a lot, so a toilet experience will be less needed. What you can do is provide food and drinks which you can reach easily. However, it is best to not drink or eat too much during the Maithuna.

Hygiene

Maithuna hair styling
Maituna haircut

The room where you practice the Maithuna has to be clean. Prior to the being together you both have to take a shower. You will clean your entire body, especially the Yoni, Lingam, and Guda. For several reasons it is important that you wash these areas very well during showering. Apart from better hygiene, showering will also clean you energetically. This will make your Maithuna more enjoyable.

Music

Music will help creating the right atmosphere. The music shouldn’t be too loud for one of the partners. This would make it more difficult to be able to surrender.

Time

During the Maithuna we want to have an experience beyond time and space. All disrupting elements such as a clock and a mobile phone shouldn’t be present in the room. You have to take time for each other to experience the Maithuna. Time pressure shouldn’t be present.

Respiration

Breathing helps you to get closer each other. Controlling respiration helps Shiva to prevent an unwanted ejaculation. In lesson 4 these techniques are taught.

Loving kiss

When you kiss during the Maithuna, this happens in a loving way, where the tongues touch each other subtly.

Respectful

For many men respect is a new concept when it comes to making love. In tantric love making, it is the woman who takes the initiative. She will feel what is desired. So as a man you don’t want to be intrusive with an erection.

Erection

Tantric love making may last for several hours. An erection is not all the time 100%, the hardness will alternate during the love making. Later on in the book, we will explain in detail how to deal with this. After the Maithuna it might be that the Lingam is sensitive for a few days due to the bumping, pulsing or the Pompoir.

Delay ejaculation

Within the tantric love making, delaying ejaculation is an ‘art’ which will make that the intensity of the orgasm will increase. Many men confuse an ejaculation with an orgasm. These are two entirely different concepts in the world of Tantra. It requires practice to be able to experience this. Is it hard for Shiva to postpone ejaculation? In lesson 4 you will read about techniques to make this possible.

Safe

Tantricians (Tantricas) make love in a safe way, with condom, when they make love with a new partner. In a long lasting Maithuna the condom won’t always stay in the right position. Especially with an alternating erection a condom is annoying. If it is possible that the partners make love without condom, this is preferable. In this way it will be easier to stay in your feelings, without having to pay attention to the condom.

Arms

With the asanas we don’t give a specific posture for your arms. We leave this up to you, what is most comfortable for you.

Maithuna pillow

The Maithuna pillow is very practical so it will be more easy for Shakti to lead the Lingam into her Yoni. It is more pleasant for Shiva, because you are sitting just a little higher. We will indicate for which asanas a Maithuna pillow is desirable. Shiva uses the Maithuna pillow in the last asana of the Guda technique.

Usage

It is practical to have the Maithuna pillow nearby when practicing the asanas. In practice it is very nice for Shakti when Shiva helps her to sit on the pillow. This also applies to the removal of the Maithuna pillow if it is not used anymore.

Lesson 3. Yoni-muscles

Train the muscles of Yoni

The Yoni-muscles of Shakti together with her Guda-muscles are very important within the Maithuna. It is possible for Shakti to train the muscles in the area of her Yoni and Guda. The control of the Yoni makes it possible to have a ‘secret language’ during the Maithuna. Shakti can help Shiva with her Yoni-muscles to prevent ejaculation. By training the muscles in the area of the Yoni, a strength develops when it will surround, like a hand, the Lingam.

Due to long-term practice Shakti will be able to use the techniques of pulsing and Pompoir (milking of the Lingam by Yoni). Girls in countries like India, Thailand, and Pakistan learn this already before their puberty. This is taught by mother to daughter. They learn how to control their pelvic floor muscles (puboccygeus = PC-muslce). In the Western world often it is described as Milking. In the Arabic world it is described as ‘Kabazzah’.

Pompoir

Learning the Pompoir technique is only possible when you have well trained Yoni-muscles. For each asana we will tell if it is possible to apply Pompoir. How long you will do this depends on Shakti. There is no minimum or maximum time span. At the beginning, 2 minutes will be already very tiring. For each asana it will be indicated with ‘+’ and ‘-‘ how easy it is to apply Pompoir.

The technique

The Pompoir technique is easiest to learn when doing asana 3 or with the Yoni trainer. Shakti is on her knees and she has inserted the Lingam entirely in her Yoni. Shakti has to visualize that her Yoni is a hand surrounding the Lingam. You start contracting the lower Yoni-muscles and thereafter the higher Yoni-muscles.

Next you contract the Guda-muscles and you make an inwards ‘pulling’ movement. You pull your navel both inwards and upwards, where you visualize how the energy (Kundalini) flows upwards through the spine. Afterwards you relax all your muscles and repeat the previously described movement.

As Shakti has more experience with the Pompoir technique, the movement will become increasingly fluent and rhythmic. You don’t have to think anymore with every movement. It becomes an ‘automatism’ and ultimately completely intuitive.

During the performance of the technique, only little movement of the Shakti’s body can be observed. It are the Yoni-muscles and Guda-muscles which do the work.

When Shakti has only little experience with the Pompoir technique, the precise control of the Yoni-muscles can be uncomfortable. You can simplify the Pompoir technique by contracting all the Yoni-muscles and thereafter contracting the Guda-muscles. Next you will make an inwards ‘pulling’ movement. Thereafter you relax and repeat. After a while you will get increasingly better in controlling your Yoni-muscles.

Frequency: when performing the asanas it is important that Shakti keeps enjoying it. If you feel a cramp in certain muscle areas, then it is wise to stop the movement for a minute. Rest or relax and a nice change can be switching to another asana.

Lesson 4. Delay ejaculation

We will describe several techniques to delay ejaculation which Shiva can apply simultaneously or sequentially.

Muscle control

For Shiva it is important to be able to control ejaculation. Shakti can help him with this. With an impending ejaculation, an inexperienced Shiva can relax the PC-muscles and adapt respiration. Shakti can help by stopping all movements.

In practice, it is insufficient to only adapt respiration. The goal is that you learn to relax the ‘ejaculation muscles’. This in combination with quiet breathing through the nose and keeping the mouth closed. Focus your thoughts on your sphincter and lifting muscle.

You can practice during the daily life, without being in Maithuna. How do you do this? When Shiva goes to the toilet, he can learn how to control both muscles. Don’t urinate during the stool. This will make you aware of the muscles which control the urethra. At the beginning you have to get used to it, but soon you will have control over both the muscles.

Another exercise is urinating with interval. While urinating, you run your urine for 2 seconds and then hold it for 2 seconds. You have to repeat this until you are done urinating. Through this exercise your Lingam gets moving and you learn to control the muscles.

There are also the muscles of Shiva his ball sack. Many men don’t know that you can control them. Just before the ejaculation the testicles are lifted up in the scrotum for an easy discharge. When you know how to control these muscles, it will be easier to control ejaculation. Be aware of your muscles and learn to relax them.

Respiration

Staying calm and being aware of your respiration is another technique when approaching a climax. Both when inhaling and exhaling, Shakti and Shiva breathe through their nose. Normally Shiva (and Shakti) will exhale when Shakti bumps. By being aware of the bumps, Shiva can turn the respiration around with every bump. So inhale with every bump.

Another respiration technique is slow and deep breathing through the nose. In this way the inhalation and exhalation is divided over multiple bumps. While Shakti is pulsing and applying the Pompoir technique, Shiva has to be aware of his respiration. As Shiva is more experienced, the technique can be alternated. By practicing a lot with the described techniques, you as Shiva can endure longer the wonderful ‘orgasmic’ feeling of the ejaculation without ‘slipping’.

If the pressure for Shiva is too high, you can use the agreed ‘stop word or stop sign’.

Lesson 5. Maithuna

Each described step you have to perform in a peaceful state. In the next pages you will read the different steps. Thereafter you will be ready for asana 1, the Yab Yum-position.

Meditation

Before you will activate the Kundalini, there is a moment of meditation. You will greet each other from Namasté, through the arms and Heart Greeting. You calm your body and mind. You have to sit in lotus position (sitting cross-legged with your hands open) with your backs against each other.
The meditation should last between 10 and 20 minutes.

How to meditate?

You are already sitting in the right position and start to focus on your respiration. You breathe in and out through your nose. At the end of the meditation you open your eyes. Stay for a few minutes in this position.

Are you interested in meditation with single-pointed concentration or contemplation (analytical meditation)? More about this is described in the Appendix.

Namasté

Afterwards you turn towards each other and sit on your knees. Greet each other with Namasté. Bring your hands together in front of your chest and bend over. The goal is that you greet each other in a respectful way.

Forearms and hands

You stay in the same position, where forearms and hands are being brought against each other.
You look at each other in a loving way for 30 seconds while the palms remain against each other. This is a first chakra contact via the palms. You have 7 main chakras through the spine, but elsewhere on the body there are more chakras.

Heart Greeting

You will sit on your knees, faces facing each other. You put your left hand on each other’s heart. If you want, you can put your right hand on the left hand of your partner.

You will start breathing in and out through your nose and look each other in the eyes. You keep this for 1 minute. Meanwhile, you are very conscious of what your hands feel and your eyes see. You are aware of the moment. After you have done this, you will continue to activate Kundalini.

Arousal

Before you start the Maithuna, the Yoni should be humid and the Lingam in elevated position for a pleasant insertion. This can be done by applying tantra of the right hand (without orgasm) or you stimulate each other’s intimate parts very softly at the end of the Heart Greeting with the hand (fingertips) or with the mouth.

Stimulation

IMPORTANT!!!

While stimulating, you are not meant to bring yourself or each other to peak orgasm.

Before you begin the Maithuna, the Yoni should be moist and the Lingam in an elevated position for a pleasurable entry.

Your left hand remains resting on each other’s heart and with the right hand you can gently caress each other to transition into tantra of the right hand.

Shakti caresses and moisturizes her clitoris and labia with fluid from the vestibule of her Yoni possibly supplemented with ‘spit’. At the same time Shiva very gently stimulates his Lingam by rubbing the tip of thumb gently over the tip of his glans and thus distributing the released lubricant over his glans. If there is not enough available moisture, you may also extract moisture from your mouth or lovingly with one finger from the vestibule of Shakti her Yoni.

Once Shakti feels that her Yoni is sufficiently moist, she may begin stroking Shiva’s Lingam with her right hand. For Shiva, this is a sign that he may gently stimulate Shakti’s clitoris.

Shakti stimulates the lingam with her thumb

It requires attention to do the stimulation without causing ejaculation in Shiva. It is recommended not to make any ‘jerking off’ movement with the fist. You can use the tip of the thumb of the right hand, not the nail, to move subtly over the edge of the skin. If the glans is moist, then Shakti can distribute this moisture with her thumb over the bare part of the glans.

If Shiva is circumcised, then Shakti’s thumb movement goes over the edge of the glans.

Shiva stimulates clitoris with fingers

It is important for Shiva to be very subtle when stimulating the clitoris. With the index or middle finger of his right hand, Shiva can gently push against the clitoris and very gently circle the clitoris. Shakti can indicate with ‘sounds’ if she likes this. She can also whisper that it can be harder or softer. It is not the intention to go into the Yoni with the fingers. The moisture present is needed to guide the Lingam in.

Practical tip

It is practical to have massage oil on hand. The oil can be used to stimulate the Lingam and moisten the clitoris.

Lesson 6. Activate Kundalini

Kundalini initiation and flow is very important in the Maithuna. The energy that flows along the chakras and meridians makes the Maithuna a special experience. You can do this in different ways.

Waking up the body

Take turns, you may lie on your stomach, with your partner placing a large towel on your back. The partner gets down on his or her knees in front of your feet. Extremely slowly, the partner pulls the towel toward you. If you do it very slowly, to the person lying on his or her stomach it seems as if the towel is going up. The towel action causes all the receptors to wake up.

Stroking

The partner who is on his or her knees now moves to the side of the partner’s body. At the level of the hips you sit at right angles to the body. You now start stroking with your fingertips very slowly along the side of all the body. After you have done this three times, it is your turn to lie on your stomach to experience the feeling of the towel and the caressing.

Top view

You are going to lie down in a fully stretched position facing each other. You will search for the sacred bone of your partner. Here you will make a spiraling (from the outside to the inside) and massaging movement with only little pressure. You do this with a flat hand.

Ask what your partner likes. Do this every 1 minute and rub the generated energy in a (swinging) movement over the spine in the direction of the head until you reach the back of the head. Repeat this quietly 7 times. As you will experience Maithuna more often, this will happen automatically.

PAY ATTENTION!
The direction of rotation is very important! Shiva turns right on Shakti (clockwise). Shakti does the same on Shiva, but in counter-clockwise.

Shakti movements

Before you go in Yab Yum position, we will first explain what the intention is. Where in traditional sex the man penetrates, this is not the intention in Maithuna. In each position in Maithuna it is Shakti who determines what will happen.

Shakti determines the position and the pace. More importantly, there is no penetration in the traditional sense. Shakti is going to guide the Lingam of Shiva gently, lovingly and above all consciously into her Yoni.

At the same time she will make small rounds with her hips and from step 2 Shakti will alternate with bumps. Whether this is done to the left or to the right, is up to Shakti. Shakti may use her hands when she guides the Lingam inside of her.

If Shakti has well trained Yoni-muscles, she can pulsate or apply the Pompoir technique. Where she initially starts with making small rounds and bumping, she can alternate or replace this by pulsing and Pompoir. But keep paying attention to your Shiva, because bumping, pulsing, and Pomoir can induce an accelerated ejaculation.

Eyes

In Maithuna you don’t close your eyes. In several asanas you can give each other a sweet and loving look. With this relaxed way of looking, you caress the body of your partner. In asana 1 and 14 in the Yab Yum position, you can apply this eye contact.

Tongue

The tongue is a very important body part with many qualities. During tantric love making you can kiss with your tongue, satisfy orally, taste each other,… In addition the tongue is a strong energy guide. In asanas where there is no kissing, it is recommended to bring your tongue against your palate. The energy can flow freely and easily. Do not forget to play with the tip of your tongue with your partner. The contact on the skin is positively surprising. You can, among other things, discover erogenous zones in the neck.

Advanced

In the advanced asanas (from asana 18) Shakti can guide the Lingam into her Guda (no obligation).

Lesson 7. Maithuna asanas

Asana 1 Yab Yum step 1 (pulsate)

You are starting the asanas with the Yab Yum position (free translation: Father and Mother). The first entanglements (asanas) let the chakras come together. This stimulates the energy flow between you both. This position is often encountered as Rupa figurine.

Yab Yum position (Shiva sitting cross-legged)

The first time

When it is the first time you will experience the Maithuna, you can choose to discuss together all positions. This you do best with your clothes on, so you can focus on the asanas.

Shakti crawls on Shiva’s lap, but more easily she will sit on the Maithuna pillow. Shakti can choose to embrace Shiva with her legs or to stretch her legs if this is more comfortable. Also Shiva can choose to stretch his legs.

It is important that Shakti has freedom of movement. We assume that the Lingam is sufficiently hard, so Shakti can guide the Lingam gently into her Yoni.

When the Lingam is entirely inside of the Yoni, Shakti will start making the previously described circular movements with her hips. If Shakti gets a little tired, she can rest for a moment. If therefore the erection of the Lingam decreases, Shakti could make some hip movements with her hips so the Lingam gets harder again.

Now that the Lingam is inside of the Yoni, it is time to kiss lovingly during the entanglement. During the kissing, the tip of your tongues will touch each other in a gentle and quiet way.

This position is easy for both partners to sustain for a longer period. The energy flows when both partners are aware that all chakras are connected and so the energy can flow freely.

We will explain in the description of the asanas the flow of the Kundalini during tantric love making. In asana 14 (again in Yab Yum position) we will further increase the Kundalini.

In step 2, at which we have arrived now, it might be hard for Shiva to control the ejaculation.

Advanced:

When you have become regular practitioners of the Maithuna, the controlled hip movements may become less strict. The previous description is a tool for constructing the Maithuna experience.

When you are getting more experienced, intuitive hip movements can occur. The spontaneous movements of the Yoni and Lingam by the uncontrolled and intuitive pulsing of the muscles in the pelvic area is called ‘secret language’. The Pompoir technique helps with this.

Yab Yum step 2 (bumping)

In this step it is up to Shakti what is most comfortable. The intention is that she, in contrast to the man with penetration, makes the movements and the bumps. From the deep enclosure of the Lingam in the Yoni lifts Shakti her hips. She does this so far until the Lingam just doesn’t slip out of her Yoni.

Next Shakti first shallowly bumps 7 times, so that the beginning of the Yoni and the G-spot are stimulated. Thereafter Shakti makes a firm and deep bump, where she takes the Lingam completely inside of her Yoni until the cervix. It shouldn’t cause pain in any way!

Next 6 soft and shallow bumps, thereafter 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps, next 4 soft shallow bumps and 4 deep bumps, next 3 soft shallow bumps and 5 deep bumps, next 2 soft shallow bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft shallow bump and 7 deep bumps.

In order to be able to put more power during the bumps, Shakti can cling herself with her arms around the shoulders or the waist of Shiva. During the entire exercise Shiva lovingly embraces Shakti.

Try to kiss and have contact with the tongue during the movements.

PAY ATTENTION! As the deep bumps follow each other faster, it is for the beginning Shiva harder to postpone ejaculation. As soon as Shakti realizes that this point is approaching, she must stop her movements.

In a next Maithuna, again a series can be made. Shiva can learn in advance the postponement of the ejaculation, as described in lesson 4. It is time to switch to asana 2.

Maithuna Yab Yum pillow

In order to make this long term love making more comfortable for Shiva, Shakti can sit on a Maithuna Yab Yum pillow. In this way, Shakti sits a little higher, which makes it easier for her to move during the pulsing, bumping, and the Pompoir.

Asana 2 Horizontal entanglement

Horizontal entanglement
After the sitting position during the Yab Yum, is the horizontal entanglement an opportunity for Shakti to come to rest. The chakras are in contact with each other and if Shakti wishes, again she can guide the Lingam inside of her Yoni. It is also possible that the Lingam is still inside of the Yoni during the transition of asana 1 to asana 2. Furthermore, she can gently intertwine the Lingam with her Yoni. Where she contracts her PC-muscle during the insertion and relaxes when the Lingam is completely inside of her.

Shakti can continue pulsing to keep the erection of the Lingam optimal.

Asana 3 Sitting position

Shakti Sitting position
As in the Yab Yum position, Shakti tries to make the bumps. From asana 2, Shakti can sit upright, putting her weight backwards. In this way Shakti puts more weight on the Lingam. Shiva can lift his legs if he doesn’t interrupt Shakti in her movements.

Shakti first makes 7 soft shallow bumps, so the beginning of the Yoni and the G-spot are stimulated. Next, Shakti makes a strong and deep bump where she takes the Lingam completely inside of her Yoni until the cervix. In any case it shouldn’t cause any pain!

Next 6 soft shallow bumps, next 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps, next 4 soft shallow bumps and 4 deep bumps, next 3 soft shallow bumps and 5 deep bumps, next 2 soft shallow bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft shallow bump and 7 deep bumps.

In order to be able to put more power during the bumping, Shakti can ‘pull’ with her arms on the shoulders of Shiva. During this asana Shiva lovingly holds the hips of Shakti.

Asana 4 Upright Shakti

Upright Shakti
After asana 3, Shakti can easily sit up straight. She can gently enfold the Lingam with her Yoni. She should contract and relax the PC-muscle until the Lingam is completely inside of her Yoni. Not all chakras will be connected, so there will be less energy exchange. Shakti can pulsate, bump, and apply the Pompoir.

Just like with the sitting position, Shakti will try to make the bumps. Because Shakti is upright, her weight will push her down. In this way Shakti puts more weight on the Lingam. Shiva can lift his legs if he doesn’t interrupt the movements of Shakti.

Shakti first makes 7 soft shallow bumps, so the beginning of the Yoni and the G-spot are stimulated. Next Shakti makes a hard and deep bump, where she takes the Lingam completely inside of her Yoni until the cervix. In any way it shouldn’t cause any pain!

Next, 6 soft shallow bumps and 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps, next 4 soft shallow bumps and 4 deep bumps, next 3 soft bumps and 5 deep bumps, next 2 soft bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft shallow bump and 7 deep bumps.

During this asana Shiva lovingly holds the hips of Shakti.

Asana 5 Squatting while sitting

Shakti Squatting while sitting
From asana 4 Shakti lifts her legs up to take a squat position. This is an asana which is only possible when Shakti has sufficient strength in her thighs. To make it easier, Shakti can bent forward and with her hands lean on the shoulders of Shiva. If this isn’t possible, you can continue to asana 6.

Shiva can support with his arms, with opened hands from the bottom up, the bottom of Shakti. In this way it is a little less heavy for Shakti. It seems like Shakti is sitting on the hands of Shiva.

Shakti pushes herself up from the knees and first makes 7 soft shallow bumps, so the beginning of the Yoni and the G-spot are stimulated. Next, Shakti makes a strong and deep bump where she takes the Lingam completely inside of her Yoni.

Next 6 soft shallow bumps, next 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps, next 4 soft shallow bumps and 4 deep bumps, next 3 soft shallow bumps and 5 deep bumps, next 2 soft shallow bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft shallow bump and 7 deep bumps.

Following on asana 5 you will go to asana 6, where Shakti takes her time to come to rest. The muscles in her thighs might feel cramped. After Shakti has rested sufficiently, she determines when she will start bumping.

Asana 6 Leaning on the arms

Shakti Leaning on the arms
Shiva stretches his legs and raises his back so Shakti can lean back and lean on her arms, coming from asana 4 or 5. Shiva puts his arms down firmly. In this way, Shakti can push herself off with her arms and can start bumping again.

Shakti first can make 7 soft and shallow bumps so the beginning of the Yoni and the G-spot can be stimulated. Thereafter Shakti makes a deep bump where she fully takes the Lingam inside of her Yoni. The stimulation of the cervix is in this position a little less easy.

Thereafter 6 soft and shallow bumps, and next 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft and shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps. Next 4 soft and shallow bumps and 4 deep bumps. Next 3 soft and 5 deep bumps. Next 2 soft bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft bump and 7 deep bumps.

Asana 7 Lying on the back in X position

Lying on the back in X position (top view)
After asana 6 Shakti and Shiva will go lie down on their backs. From asana 6 this is quite easy. The Lingam can rest in the Yoni. It might be that the erection of the Lingam weakens a little. Shakti can help getting the Lingam harder by pulsing.

If you have enough pillows, both partners can lie back in the pillows. This puts more weight of the Yoni on the Lingam, which makes it easier to ‘strengthen’ the Lingam.

This asana gives Shakti the possibility to rest a little from the earlier asanas. If she is ready, you can go the next asana. This asana 8 has a small adjustment to asana 7.

Asana 8 Astride position

Astride position
Shakti and Shiva lie on their backs where Shiva is bending his right knee and pulling it entirely towards him. This gives Shakti the possibility to put her left leg under the right leg of Shiva. If the leg of Shakti is in the right position, Shiva can stretch his right leg again.

Next Shakti turns on her left side.

In this position Shakti has the possibility to use the left upper leg of Shiva. She can use it while bumping, so she can pull Shiva towards her.

Shakti makes first 7 soft shallow bumps, so the beginning of the Yoni and sometimes the G-spot can be stimulated. Thereafter Shakti makes a firm and deep bump where she takes the Lingam entirely inside of her Yoni. Stimulation of the cervix in this position is a little less easy.

Next 6 soft shallow bumps and 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps. Next 4 shallow soft bumps and 4 deep bumps. Next 3 soft and 5 deep bumps. Next 2 soft bumps and next 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft and shallow bump and 7 deep bumps.

Asana 9 Shiva sideways

Shiva sideways
From asana 8, Shakti can be lowered on her back and Shiva turns on his left side. This position gives Shakti the possibility to rest for a moment. By pulsing the PC-muscle, Shakti ensures that the erection of the Lingam remains hard. The movements are the same as in asana 8.

Shakti makes first 7 soft and shallow bumps, so the beginning of the Yoni and possibly the G-spot are stimulated. Next, Shakti makes a deep and firm bump where she takes the Lingam fully inside of her. Stimulation of the cervix is in this position a little less easy.

Next 6 soft shallow bumps and thereafter 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps. Next 4 soft shallow bumps and 4 deep bumps. Next 3 shallow soft bumps and 5 deep bumps. Next 2 soft bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 shallow soft bump and 7 deep bumps.

Asana 10 Spoon spoon

Spoon spoon
Some creativity is required to go from asana 9 into asana 10. Shiva and Shakti lie on their left side. Shakti pushes her bottom towards Shiva and softly guides the Lingam into her Yoni. In practice, this asana is suitable for Pompoir, but bumping is less easy. If Shakti doesn’t control Pompoir yet, she can guide the Lingam inside of her and pulsate.

Asana 11 On the lap

On the lap
In this asana, first Shiva and Shakti have to turn on their back. Shiva lies on his back and Shakti sits on her knees with her back towards Shiva. For Shiva, his legs have to remain stretched alongside each other in this asana.

In this position Shakti can easily guide the Lingam inside of her Yoni. With her body weight, by pulsing, she can determine the depth. Shiva can hold the hips of Shakti.

‘On the back’ in this asana means that Shakti and Shiva are both lying on their back. It gives the possibility to Shakti and Shiva to rest before starting the more strenuous asana 13.

Shiva can lovingly embrace Shakti. In this way he has a reach from her breasts to her Yoni zone.

Asana 13 Forward opposite

Forward position
For both Shakti and Shiva asana 13 is very pleasant. Especially because of the energy exchange and the possibility for bumping and Pompoir. Shakti sits in opposite direction on the Lingam of Shiva. During the movements of Shakti, Shiva holds the hips of Shakti and he can additionally touch the sacral chakra with his thumb(s).

Shakti first makes 7 shallow soft bumps, so the beginning of the Yoni and maybe the G-spot can be stimulated. Next Shakti makes a firm and deep bump where she takes the Lingam fully inside of her. Stimulation of the cervix is in this position a little less easy.

Next 6 soft shallow bumps and 2 deep bumps. Next 5 soft shallow bumps and 3 deep bumps. Next 4 soft shallow and 4 deep bumps. Next 3 soft shallow bumps and 5 deep bumps. Next 2 soft shallow bumps and 6 deep bumps. Finally, 1 soft shallow bump and 7 deep bumps.

At the end of this asana, Shakti turns to face Shiva. From this position for both it is easier to go to the Yab Yum position (asana 1).

Lesson 8. Beyond time and space

After extensive experience with the Maithuna, it is possible that Shakti allows Shiva to make bumping movements. Shakti indicates when this is desirable, so Shiva’s own initiative is not appropriate. In this part of the book we will let the Kundalini flow. While pumping and visualizing, we are going to raise the Kundalini. You want to experience an experience beyond space and time.

Asana 14 Let Kundalini flow

Shakti and Shiva will go back into the Yab Yum position, see asana 1.

You will raise the Kundalini up from the sacrum. When having an orgasm you lose this life energy, or sexual energy, of Kundalini. In Shiva this happens through his Lingam and in Shakti through her Yoni.

Exercise 1:

After the meditation we have tried a first time to get the Kundalini going. Most energy is stored in your second chakra, also called sex or sacral chakra. By performing several exercises as partners you will raise the Kundalini in the direction of your crown chakra. The Lingam can just stay with his glans in the Yoni. No bumps, Pompoir or any other movements are made.

Respiration
Shakti and Shiva are both receptive to raise the Kundalini and they both focus on their respiration. Specifically you breathe in for 6 seconds, then hold it for 2 seconds, and then breathe out for 8 seconds.

It is important that you will breathe in and out in opposite direction, preferably through your nose with your mouth closed. When Shakti has exhaled, Shiva will inhale. When Shiva exhales, Shakti will inhale. Now you are both focused on each other’s respiration.

Visualizing & ‘pumping’
When you have adjusted the respiration, it is time to activate the PC-muscle (‘pumping’). You tighten the pelvic floor muscles while inhaling and relax them while exhaling. It is best that Shiva first contracts, so the PC-muscle of Shakti doesn’t induce an unwanted ejaculation.

Both pump from their Guda in the direction of the sacral chakra (sacrum). Visualize that with each contraction and inhalation you raise the Kundalini 1 chakra. From your sacral chakra, you will go to the solar plexus chakra, your heart chakra, throat chakra, third eye chakra (between your eyes), and your crown chakra. In total it concerns 6 contractions.

When you have arrived at the crown chakra, during the visualization, let the energy rotate in your head by turning your eyes 7 times to the left and 7 times to the right, with your eyes closed. Visualize that you are sending the Kundalini back to the Lingam or Yoni along the front side of your body. After this visualization exercise you open your eyes.

Repeat this exercise 7 times before you will go to exercise 2.

Bumping: N.A.
Pompoir: N.A.

Exercise 2:

Respiration
Your respiration is calm and the Lingam is resting entirely in the Yoni. By keeping your tongues together (kiss) the energy circle is closed. Meanwhile you both alternately contract the PC-muscle (‘pumping’) and visualize (with your eyes closed) that you are pumping the Kundalini to your crown chakra, as in exercise 1. However, the difference is that the energy now flows through the Lingam and Yoni and through your tongue.

Visualizing
Visualize 7 times that the energy directly flows from your heart to the heart of your partner. Meanwhile you keep pumping around the Life energy.

Beyond space and time
The Kundalini is being pumped around, you are connected to the cosmos… Keep pumping around and visualize the image of your partner in loving union in the cosmic world. Keep this image as long as possible, so both your souls can unite. Keep in this position as long as this is comfortable for both of you.

If you find it difficult to visualize the cosmic world, think for example of a great white light. After this visualization exercise you open your eyes.

Lesson 9. Intimacy

After the ‘space journey’ you can still let the energy flow around and increase the intimacy.

Asana 15 Loving entry

Lovingful entry

You have just had a pleasant experience. So now you can come out of the Yab Yum position. From the Yab Yum position Shakti can go lie on her back. To switch to this asana, for Shiva it is easier when he is sitting in cross-legged rather than with his legs straight.

Shakti lies on her back and raises her legs and Shiva comes to lie “on top” of her. He does this by leaning on his arms.

Depending on the ‘fatigue’ of Shakti, she can decide to rest, pulsate or apply the Pompoir technique.

From this asana it is very easy to switch to asana 16.

Desire to get children

If you have a desire to get children, this asana offers the opportunity to come to conception. New life born from the Maithuna could not be more beautiful.

Relieve menstrual pain

In a future version there will be a drawing for this asana. Asana 15 can be extended, with Shakti pulling knees to the point where they come into a ‘fetus posture’. Shiva rests on his elbows and can touch the womb with his Lingam. Through a loving rhythmic pace that Shakti indicates, she can get a uterine orgasm. By doing this the day before her menstruation, this can relieve severe menstrual pain. Shakti can reach this form of menstrual pain relief even without the help of Shiva. This requires the help of a Yoni trainer, dildo or vibrator.

Asana 16 Face to face

Face to face
You lie face to face and Shakti can lower and stretch her legs. Shakti lies stretched out on her back and Shiva lies stretched out on top of her. Shiva leans on his forearms.

Regardless of whether the Lingam stays inside of the Yoni, this is a very intimate position. You can let the energy flow around, including the use of the tongue.

When Shiva pushes his raised knees against Shakti, a feeling of intimacy and connection arises.

At the end of asana 17 Shiva goes back in the position of asana 15. By holding Shakti very well, you can turn on one side in one move. Shakti embraces with her legs the hips of Shiva.

Here the flow of the Kundalini can be applied by the loving kiss.

After a while, the underlying leg of Shakti will no longer have blood flow. Then it is time to end the Maithuna (lesson 10) or to apply the Guda technique.

If Shakti is not (yet) ready for the Guda technique, you can read in lesson 10 how to close the Maithuna.

Lesson 10. Guda technique (for advanced)

In the Guda technique the energy exchange is limited. From a hygienic point of view, it is wise not to return with the Lingam directly from the Guda into the Yoni. An advanced Shakti can contract and pulsate her muscles during the exercises.

Asana 19 Spoon Spoon

Spoon spoon
For many Shaktis, is the entering of the Lingam in the Guda not a matter of course. Therefore, in Maithuna entering is absolutely no obligation. PAY ATTENTION! Entering shouldn’t hurt Shakti in any way. The basic rule is that there is a sufficient amount of Shakti oil applied on the Lingam and the Guda. As in all asanas it is Shakti who takes care of the ‘steering’ of the Lingam.

You are both on your left side. Shiva helps Shakti by holding the shaft of his hard Lingam with his right hand. Shakti guides the hand holding the Lingam to the entrance of her Guda. It is important that Shakti can relax her Guda knowing that Shiva is not going to push.

Because Shiva holds the Lingam in a constant place, Shakti can start the entrance. Shakti pushes the Lingam very carefully a little bit inside of her Guda. Then she pauses to get used to the feeling. Then she presses again, so the Lingam enters a little bit more. Shiva provides a gentle counter-pressure while pushing. At the beginning, the entering will be sufficient. Later Shakti can pulsate.

If it is easier for Shakti, she can give Shiva instructions when he pushes his Lingam inside of the Guda. When the Lingam is a little bit inside, Shiva can wrap his free arm around the belly of Shakti. By gently pulling her body towards himself, the Lingam can be pushed completely inside of the Guda.

When Shakti finds it a pleasant experience, she can move into other asanas.

Asana 22 Forward opposite

Forward opposite
The transition from asana 21 to 22 is a major move. Shiva lies on his back and Shakti sits on her knees in the opposite position. As in the previous 3 asanas, Shiva offers his Lingam and Shakti can let it slowely enter into her Guda.

Note that you don’t forget to lubricate oil on the entire Lingam and Guda entrance.

Lesson 11. Ending Maithuna

End Maithuna
You end the Maithuna out of respect for your partner and the cosmos. Sitting on your knees and facing each other, you make a small bow forward with your hands together in front of your chest (Namasté position). In your thoughts you thank your partner and the cosmos that you got the opportunity to experience Maithuna together.

Now you can go shower in peace…
